"John 15:4, The Vine, and the branches - 'I am the Vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.'’
Abide in Me. Remain in Me
Pause Pray Proceed with God's Will (a quote from Father Clay Ludwig)
As we start another year at St. Augustine Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) year, I would like to Welcome everyone. The next two years will be filled with lots of wonderful events, projects along with building friendships and mentoring to each other. I am excited to be your new DCCW President and looking forward to meeting each of you. I and my board members are here to help you in having a successful CCW/Guild. WE all are here as team members and not lone rangers – we all need help, so let us share our resources and knowledge.
We all are busy getting ready for our start up for a new year, planning, choosing board members, projects to do, along with goals for the year. We need to keep in mind to balance all our plans. The areas that we need to focus on after prayer is having a balance of spirituality, service, and leadership. With this in mind, we all have several resources to use to help each of us. Whether we are returning leaders or new leaders, we can always use help. Our DCCW website is full of information. For our new affiliations, returning affiliations or just in case you need a reminder, go to stadccw.com and click on every link. Each link has valuable information. Also, our NCCW website, nccw.org has lots of wonderful resources one can use.
Our greatest blessings as DCCW members are that, with having our churches with us, we have the opportunity to reach out to so many people, like the Vine, when we Remain in Him and Abide in Him – sharing and helping each other, we will bear much fruit for the Kingdom of Heaven. As we just finished with our past themes as (1) What is my Fiat, (2) Here I am Lord (3) Being Courageous women (4) Hearts for the Harvest – and now the Vine and Branches, Remain in Christ, and Abide in Christ – let us move forward – mentoring, helping, leading, planting and harvesting all that God has in stored for our DCCW. One Person at a Time. Let us accept the challenge to help each other and extend to our inner circles the joys of sharing with others to help grow our fruit for the Kingdom of God here at our DCCW.
Prayers and love
